Day 8: Wyoming to South Dakota

The night before, $60 for the Value Inn sounded like a great deal. The continental breakfast turned out to be our 12th dry waffle of the trip accompanied by your choice of a coffee-like beverage or old juice. Next time, we get the $100 place. This kid is having Mountain Dew and Doritos for breakfast at 8:00am. Really. Driving into the clouds.
Crazy Woman Creek. Nathaniel thinks the Native Americans were on to something here.
Ahhhh, so sweet...but more importantly, so quiet.

Whoa...Wyoming has a zit.
Millions of years ago some magna pushed all these rocks up. The soil surrounding it eroded away after...I'm sorry...am I boring you? Well, too bad...I paid $10 and you all are going to learn what I learned!
Zoom-in of Devil's Tower.

Even more zoomed in. Doesn't that rock looks like it's totally going to pinch his head?

The Lakota Sioux tribe believed that two boys were being chased by a giant bear and their Creator pushed them up to the sky on this rock. The giant bear left these claw marks. Nathaniel is still upset about the breakfast. Devil Tower glamour shot.
Praire doggy dog. Yo-I live in a dirty hole. And I ain't a ghetto mole. Don't need a house with shingles. Just want some of your Pringles.
New state. "Great places. Great faces." We'll see.

This is officially my fav blog of all time. Can't believe the kid eating dorittos with mountain dew at 8am. Dr.Pepper pairs far better with dorittos on a brisk autumn morning.
